摘要:
为增强我国展会外宣的传播实效,依托亚里士多德“三诉诸”和肯尼斯·伯克“同一”理论,对比分析厦门两大国际展会官网与国外两大国际展会官网的英语文本,探讨展会外宣文本的修辞策略。研究发现,国外展会外宣文本具有较强的受众意识和更佳的宣传推介效果。建议外宣译者从国外受众的视角对文本进行重构,综合运用人格诉诸、情感诉诸和理性诉诸的修辞策略,用贴近国外受众需求的实用信息充实英文官网文本,用亲近国外受众的表述润色英语文本的语言,达到写者、译者和受众的“同一”和视域融合。

Abstract:
Based on Aristotles strategies of persuasion and Kenneth Burkes theory of identification, this study sets out to compare the rhetoric devices deployed by the official English websites of two top international exhibitions in Xiamen and two of overseas, aiming to achieve better efficiency in crossculture communication.It is found that literature of overseas international exhibition embraces better sense of audience awareness.This finding gives inspiration to CE translation practice for exhibition websites.It is suggested that translators should reconstruct CE translation texts from the perspective of target audience by adopting Aristotles strategies of persuasion.CE translation for exhibition websites should be more informative with a stronger sense of audience awareness so as to achieve identification and fusion of horizons among writer, translator and readers.
